Two big things to report, and then I’m sacking out early.
First, I finished the closet project tonight. I now have four bags of clothing to take to Goodwill. Hoping they’re open for drop-offs either tomorrow or Monday. Only about the last bag got removed today. The rest were already stashed in my office waiting.
As I sorted and cataloged (for tax purposes), it gave me time to really see how far I’ve come in the last year. There were a few pieces I was sad to see go, but they’re not doing me any favors anymore, so they can’t stay here.
I’m left with a very basic wardrobe: a few pair of pants, three skirts, half a rainbow of sweaters, two dresses, and a lot of workout clothes. A shopping trip with my niece tomorrow will, we hope, add in a few go-to pieces to make dressing for work an easier task.
Next, I need to tackle the cabinets in the kitchen and the pantry, but I may have to call in one of the Girls for that, and let her professional organizer juices flow.
The other thing to report is today’s workout. Coach has this 12 Days of Christmas thing he’s been threatening us with. And the smile on his face when he met me at the spin bike told me that today was the day. You know how the 12 Days goes, doesn’t need more explanation than that. But here’s the list of exercises:
- Kettlebell sumo deadlift high pulls @ 35#
- Body rows (on TRX)
- Step lunges per foot… I chose reverse instead of forward.
- Wall ball with 8#
- Leg ups
- Barbell front squats @ 35#
- Kettlebell swings @35#
- Barbell push press @ 35#
- Situps… flat legs
- Thrusters @35#
Glad I don’t have to do this one again till next Christmas. But it’s done, and we’re now ready to move on to prepping the workouts I do while Coach and his bride are honeymooning.
I’m ready for more decluttering (felt good), more sleep, and a few days off before 2013 hits.
